Following the sale of his beloved home, designer Eddie Ross brought his signature mix of color, creativity, and charm to the foyer of the carriage house where he's been staying on the Pennsylvania estate of close friends Phoebe and Matt of PS & Daughters. The project unfolded alongside Phoebe's own Spoonflower renovation, where she designed custom fig-inspired wallpaper and coordinating fabrics for her butler's pantry. Together, the spaces celebrate the idea that homes should tell deeply personal stories, especially during seasons like fall when gathering, entertaining, and welcoming guests home takes center stage. 

For Ross, the inspiration began with an unexpected source: a VIETRI ice bucket from our Wildlife collection. Its rich color palette, artisanal craftsmanship, and whimsical wildlife motifs became the foundation for the entire design. A longtime advocate for building rooms around a single beloved object, Ross often encourages homeowners to look beyond trends and instead draw inspiration from pieces they love. In the carriage house foyer, that one object sparked a layered scheme of chartreuse, sky blue, warm wood tones, and playful pattern. The resulting space feels both sophisticated and inviting, creating the perfect first impression for autumn entertaining.
