It’s the season of giving, and it is one of my favorite times of year. Gift giving is a tradition in my family, and it is something I have cherished since childhood. When I was growing up, I used to spend hours making homemade gifts with my mother and volunteering to wrap gifts at the local department store. It was heaven!

My granddaughter teaches and plays tennis. At the last minute I found the Santa ornament with the tennis racket and ball on the backside. It arrived the day before Christmas and she loved it. This is the first of a collection I am starting for her. I also started a collection of Lastra for her mother beginning with the salad servers. She in turn started a collection for her new daughter in law. We are a VIETRI family!
I’ve visited Positano three times, the last with my
granddaughter, as well as her mother and father. We all love Italy, especially the Amalfi/ Positano area. I am 85 but still hope to visit again.
