A chance discovery at an antique fair in Arezzo, Italy inspired Egisto Bertozzi, the perfumer and owner of Erbario Toscano, to create Speziato Nero, Black Spice,. The smell of wood filled the air as he wove through the streets and stalls until one merchant’s spice box caught his eye. Egisto opened the box, and a warm and spicy mix of fragrances wafted towards him. The varied scents transported him to distant lands, and the rich and lush experience ignited a desire to create this new, nuanced, and sensual fragrance.
