It was an evening in Florence that inspired Egisto Bertozzi, the perfumer and owner of Erbario Toscano, to create Iris Muschiato, Musky Iris,. Egisto found himself in the famed Iris Garden at sunset, high above the city. He admired the glorious scene as the warm light bathed the beautiful city below him. Egisto was struck by the harmony he saw between the art of man in the city’s buildings, sculptures, and more with the art of nature in the olive trees, rolling hills, flowers, and sky. This symphony of beauty led him to create a scent inspired by the iris and the setting in which he found it.
