Earthenware and Italian Stoneware
All Italian stoneware collections are microwave, oven, freezer and dishwasher safe and highly resistant to chipping. All earthenware (terra cotta, terra bianca and terra marrone) collections are dishwasher safe and most are microwave safe. Some may be placed in the freezer and oven if noted. Use the low energy/air dry cycle and don’t overload the dishwasher. Hand washing is recommended for decorative and oversized accessories. All dinnerware and serving accessories meet FDA and Prop 65 requirements.

Microwave Use
All Italian stoneware collections and most earthenware collections are microwave safe when noted. The temperature of certain items may vary after microwave use. Please use the following precautions:

• Use a pot holder or oven mitt when handling the product.
• Do not permit children to handle product that has been heated in a microwave.
• Do not put products into a microwave without food or liquid on or inside the piece.
• Allow item to cool before taking it out of the microwave.

Oven-To-Table
VIETRI casseroles and baking dishes are heat resistant to 400 degrees. All ceramic baking dishes, except Incanto and Italian stoneware collections, must be "cured" before use. Fully submerge in water for 15 minutes prior to each use to prepare the dish, reduce cooking time and prevent food from sticking. Place bakers in a room-temperature oven and bring to cooking temperature – just like the Italians do! Hot baking dishes should never be placed on cool, damp or unprotected surfaces or taken directly from the refrigerator or freezer to the oven. Handles are decorative and should not be used for support. Remove from the oven by holding the body of the dish, supporting the base. Do not use casserole lids in the oven.

Glass
To prevent clouding of glass, refrain from harsh detergents and use the low energy/air dry cycle of the dishwasher or hand wash. Do not place glass in the freezer.

Flatware
All flatware, except for pewter, is dishwasher safe. Use the low-energy/air-dry cycle with the handles placed up in the basket and a mild, non-abrasive detergent that does not contain chlorine, alcohol or perfume.

Table Linens
Terra Linens - Machine wash cold or warm, do not bleach, tumble dry low and use a warm iron if necessary.
Accent Napkins And Placemats - Wash in cold water. Dry flat and use a warm iron if necessary.

Vases, Urns & Pitchers
Use a liner underneath vases, urns and pitchers to protect surfaces from moisture and scratches. Do not place liquid in these pieces for an extended period of time.

Outdoor Accessories
Bring planters and cachepots inside during winter months as freezing water or temperatures may cause cracks. Rustic Garden items can withstand freezing outdoor temperatures.
