BREAST CANCER

According to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, there will be close to 287,850 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States this year. VIETRI is behind every woman that is affected by continuing to give to this organization and others.

We are honoring our VIETRI breast cancer survivors - Charlene Campbell, Codi Latta, Bonnie McNair, and Terri Robinson. We are incredibly proud of their strength, their courage, and their woman power! We share their stories so that you can know them as well.

Through October 2022, 5% of every VIETRI GWP purchase will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which seeks to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research, and The Tutu Project, an organization that helps ease the financial burdens that come with a breast cancer diagnosis.

Please join us in our fight for a breast cancer cure. Siamo sempre insieme! We are ALWAYS together!

Charlene Campbell

Charlene Campbell started at VIETRI in 2001 and it was not soon enough. She has been a positive force in accounts receivables. Our customers say they love her more than we do, but that is not possible. Diagnosed this June by self-examination, Charlene started her chemo in July and is struggling with being tired and having chemo brain! Her double mastectomy will be around January 2023! Her husband, Jeff, leads our warehouse management team, and both children, Jeffery and Kaylan have spent time with us. OUR FAMILY, they are!

Bonnie McNair

Bonnie McNair is our can-do woman! Bonnie has worn many VIETRI hats in purchasing and in accounting. She left us to work with her family yet returned part-time to her other family – VIETRI! Her son, Will, worked with us for several years before he joined the Navy! Bonnie found out about her breast cancer in November 2012 from an OB-GYN check up. She went through weeks of tests, had surgery in early 2013 and then rolled into chemo and radiation. Bonnie went to every check up after that and has been cancer free! HOORAY!

Terri Robinson

Terri Robinson is a solid, direct, and fun woman. She has had family crises in her life that have been more than most of us could endure, yet Terri always walks towards the light! Terri started with us as a part-timer in our Outlet, but we saw her light – and lucky for us, she loved VIETRI! She now leads all Key Account orders!

At 11:00AM, on a Friday in April 2011, Terri had a follow-up doctor’s appointment for a different breast issue. They wanted her to have a few tests, and by 5:00PM that afternoon, they told her she had a large lump. The next Tuesday, Terri had a biopsy. By May 1, her doctor confirmed she had breast cancer. Terri underwent 20 weeks of chemo resulting in surgery some months later. From January to May 2012, Terri was blasted with radiation. Terri has had a couple of scares, but overall, she has had a great 11 years free of cancer! Her final oncology appointment is in mid-October, and if everything is clear, she will be completely FREE from doctors!

Codi Latta

Codi Latta. What can we say. She is our styling lady! After years managing mostly men in our warehouse, then moving to quality control, Codi has retired. Not seeing her every day after May 2022 has certainly been a hole – but she is only a phone call away. Cody went for her yearly routine mammogram in October 2007. After getting the results, the hospital asked her to return for another check up. A biopsy done, and yes, it was breast cancer. On November 12, Codi had a mastectomy and then started chemo in January 2008 and continued for six months. I must say Codi was the cutest bald woman I knew. Codi decided to do breast reconstruction and has been very happy with it. She is still cancer free today!

Each of these women bring joy and positivity to our lives at VIETRI and we are better for it.

Thank you for being our heroes and our inspiration.
